WHAT BENEFITS DOES LIFE INSURANCE PROVIDE?
Life insurance will cover you in the event of your:
DEATH
If you were to pass away, the funds will be paid either to your Estate or the person you nominate as beneficiary of your policy.
Remember to tell your loved ones that the policy is in place.
TERMINAL ILLNESS
If you are diagnosed with an illness where the life expectancy is less than 12 months, you can get an early pay out of your Life Insurance policy which can allow you to enjoy the final months of your life and use the funds as you wish.
Who can apply for life Insurance?
New Zealand citizens and those with New Zealand Permanent Residency status, under 70 years of age, can apply for Life Insurance. Applications will be assessed on health status and further medical information may be required before acceptance of an application.
KEY DETAILS:
- Policies will automatically renew each year; it won’t matter if your health changes in the meantime.
- Your regular premium payments can either be a Level Premium option, where the premium does not increase with your age; or Annually Renewable, where the premium will be adjusted at each renewal, based on your current age.
- A Cost-of-Living annual adjustment to your Sum Insured is applied to your policy at each renewal, so your cover keeps pace with inflation. You can opt out of this option if you prefer.
- The ‘Special Events Increase’ option will allow you to increase your Sum Insured at the time of certain major events in your life, such as getting married or buying a home, without the need for further medical underwriting.
